3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Account Registration and Security

4.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

4.2 Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You may not share your account credentials with any third party or allow multiple users to access a single account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this provision.

5. Description of Service

Ant Law provides an online learning platform specifically designed for individuals preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). Our Service includes:

  • Access to a comprehensive question bank covering SQE1 and SQE2 subjects
  • Study materials, learning cards, and educational content
  • Progress tracking and performance analytics
  • Mock examinations and practice tests
  • AI-powered study assistance
  • Video courses and tutorials (where applicable)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, though we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice where practicable.

6. Free Trial and Subscription Services

6.1 Free Trial Access

We offer free trial access to allow you to evaluate our Service before making a purchase. During the free trial period, you can:

  • Access a limited selection of questions and study materials
  • Test the platform's features and functionality
  • Evaluate the quality and suitability of our content

⚠️ IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

We strongly encourage all users to thoroughly test the Service during the free trial period before purchasing a subscription, as our refund policy (detailed below) is strictly limited due to the nature of digital content.

6.2 Paid Subscriptions

Certain features and content require a paid subscription. Available subscription options include:

  • Monthly subscriptions (recurring)
  • Annual subscriptions (recurring or one-time payment)
  • Course-specific access packages
  • Question bank access (various durations)

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your complete payment card details on our servers.

7.2 Pricing and Fees

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and include applicable VAT where required. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, but price changes will not affect existing subscriptions during their current billing period.

7.3 Recurring Payments

For recurring subscriptions, you authorise us to charge your payment method automatically at the beginning of each billing period. You can cancel recurring payments at any time through your account settings, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period.

🚫8. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

⚠️ CRITICAL - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING

8.1 Nature of Digital Products

Our Service provides digital educational content including question banks, study materials, video courses, and learning resources. Upon purchase and activation of your subscription, you immediately gain full access to all content included in your chosen package. This is not a physical product that can be returned.

8.2 STRICT NO REFUND POLICY

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ONCE A SUBSCRIPTION HAS BEEN ACTIVATED AND ACCESS HAS BEEN GRANTED.

This policy applies because:

  • You receive immediate and complete access to all question bank content upon purchase
  • Digital content cannot be "returned" once accessed
  • We provide a comprehensive free trial allowing you to evaluate the Service before purchasing
  • Content descriptions and sample materials are available to review before purchase

8.3 Your Responsibility to Evaluate Before Purchase

Before purchasing any subscription or content package, you MUST:

  • Use the FREE TRIAL to thoroughly test the platform and evaluate content quality
  • Review all product descriptions to ensure the content meets your needs
  • Verify compatibility with your devices and technical requirements
  • Assess suitability for your study goals and learning style
  • Ask questions via our support channels if you have any doubts

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have had adequate opportunity to evaluate the Service and that you understand and accept our NO-REFUND policy.

8.4 Consumer Rights (UK)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel for online purchases. However, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are purchasing digital content
  • Performance (access to content) begins immediately upon purchase
  • By confirming your purchase, you expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations

8.5 Subscription Cancellation

Whilst we do not offer refunds for active subscriptions, you may cancel recurring subscriptions to prevent future charges:

  • Cancellation can be done at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain access to the Service until the end of the paid period
  • No refund will be provided for the remaining days in your current billing period

8.6 Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered only in the following exceptional circumstances, at our sole discretion:

  • Duplicate charges due to payment processing errors (refund of duplicate charge only)
  • Technical issues preventing access to the Service that we cannot resolve within a reasonable timeframe
  • Unauthorised charges resulting from account security breaches (subject to investigation)

Requests must be submitted to [email protected] within 7 days of the charge with full details of the exceptional circumstances. Each case will be reviewed individually.

🚫8A. No Refunds (App Store / Google Play Purchases)

This section applies to subscriptions purchased through our mobile applications ("SQE Question Bank" / "Ant Law") via the Apple App Store or Google Play, and mirrors Section 7 of our End User License Agreement (EULA).

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Because the Service provides immediate access to digital content upon activation of a subscription, and because a free trial is available before purchase, we do not provide refunds once a subscription has been activated and access has been granted, except where required by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, you expressly request that we begin providing the digital content immediately upon purchase and you acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose any statutory "cooling-off" right of cancellation that might otherwise apply (including under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).

Cancelling auto-renewal stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period; you will retain access until the end of the period already paid for.

For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, all billing, and any refunds, are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective terms. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, you may request one directly from Apple or Google; their decision on any refund is final and at their discretion. We do not control and cannot guarantee the outcome of refund requests made to Apple or Google.

As a goodwill matter and at our sole discretion, we may consider exceptional refunds only for duplicate charges, a verified technical fault that we are unable to resolve and that wholly prevents access, or unauthorised charges. Such requests must be sent to [email protected] within 7 days of the charge and are not guaranteed.

📚8B. Content Accuracy & Educational Disclaimer

This section mirrors Section 8 of our End User License Agreement (EULA) and applies to all content provided through the Service.

The Service is an examination-preparation and educational study tool only. Its content is provided for general educational purposes to support revision for the SQE and similar legal examinations.

The content is NOT legal advice and must NOT be relied upon for any legal matter, transaction, client, or case, or for any decision having legal consequences. It does not create a solicitor-client or any professional relationship. For any actual legal question you must consult current primary legal sources (legislation, case law, and official SRA materials) and obtain advice from a suitably qualified and supervised professional.

The Service contains a very large body of questions and explanations (14,000+ questions). While we take reasonable care to keep the content accurate and up to date, the law changes frequently and, across a question bank of this size, a small number of questions or explanations may contain errors, ambiguities, or become outdated. This is normal and inherent in educational materials of this scale and is within the accepted tolerance for study aids. The content is therefore provided "as is" for revision purposes only; we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free, and you should always verify any point against primary legal sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from any error, omission, or out-of-date content, or from your reliance on the content, including (without limitation) any examination result. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any examination or achieving any particular result; examination outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

If you believe a question or explanation is inaccurate, please report it to us via the in-app report function or at [email protected] so we can review and, where appropriate, correct it. Reporting helps us continuously improve the content for all users.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Share, distribute, or resell access to the Service or its content
  • Copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works from our content without authorisation
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access or download content
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our Service
  • Share your account credentials or allow multiple users to access a single account
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to cheat, violate academic integrity, or breach examination regulations

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

  • You breach these Terms
  • We suspect fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Required by law or regulatory authority

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Jurisdiction

You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service.

14.3 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve disputes informally.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:

  • Posting a notice on the Service
  • Sending an email to your registered email address
  • Displaying a prominent notice upon your next login

Changes take effect 7 days after notification (or immediately for changes required by law). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and INTELLISTUDY LTD regarding the Service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
